When it comes to ground source heat pump systems, Bob is the expert you want on your project. With more than two decades of hands-on experience, Bob has led every ground source heat pump installation at King Energy since 2003.
​
Bob partnered with King Energy founder Rick King in 2002, learning every aspect of heat pump design and installation across Connecticut. Today, that experience translates into seamless projects and exceptional results for our customers.

Once your contract is signed, Bob becomes your primary point of contact. He oversees every detail—from ductwork layout to final system connections—working directly with our installation crews to ensure your system is installed correctly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Bob also manages all service calls, providing knowledgeable, reliable support long after installation. With Bob on your project, you can be confident your system is in expert hands from start to finish.

Val is your first point of contact at King Energy, welcoming you with a smile and an unmatched depth of geothermal knowledge. She takes the time to listen, understand your home, and explore your unique needs to ensure that geothermal heating and cooling is the right solution for your comfort and expectations.
As Director of Marketing and Customer Relations, Val is deeply committed to making sure you have the information you need to make confident, informed decisions for your home. She guides you through every step of the process—from system design and coordination with CT Well Drilling to installation, warranties, rebates, and navigating financing opportunities through the Connecticut Green Bank.
With a background in administration, communications, and marketing, Val understands the importance of building strong, positive customer experiences. She excels at translating the complexities of heating and cooling into clear, straightforward explanations that make sense.
Val holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Connecticut. Most importantly, she is dedicated to ensuring you feel informed, supported, and confident in choosing the best path to comfort for your home.

King Energy installed a 3-ton heat pump into her 2000 sqf ranch house removing her aging oil furnace and broken air conditioner unit. Even though the house had existing duct work, Scot (and from the Energy Audit) confirmed it was undeniably leaky and would be expensive to fix. Scot explained that the geothermal system would not perform efficiently.
